Chapter 10: Student Activity: Writing, Spelling, and Literacy Development

Choose one of the following and prepare a presentation (which mean you should be presenting as if you are inside of the classroom--voice recording should be embedded into presentation, if you are using PowerPoint) addressing the following:

• Describe of the strategy
• Model/demonstrate of the strategies.
• Discuss ways the strategies can be implemented to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Discuss ways the strategies can be implemented to meet the Common Core State Standards.

Topics to Choose: strategies for birth the age 2, strategies for Pre-K classrooms, writing center, writing workshop, process approach, interactive writing, independent writing, and journal writing.
