1.      Choose a musical work by a composer discussed in chapter two of our textbook.

2.      Find a recording on YouTube (or another online site like Vimeo, for example) and include the link for others to listen to.

3.      Listen thoughtfully to your chosen piece and discuss the following in your initial post for this week’s forum:

a.       List the name and composer of your chosen piece.

b.      Is this piece enjoyable to listen to?

c.       Is there anything that is striking good/bad to you?

d.      Describe the music using the key terms from chapters 1 and 2 (p. 19, 60).

4.      Respond to other classmate’s posts and state your own opinions about the piece. Simply saying “good job” or “great post” is not sufficient.

Initial post is due Thursday (midnight, est) and follow-up responses are due Sunday (midnight, est)
