Introduction
A broad variety of myths and misconceptions surround morality, beliefs and ethics. Morals
and ethics are often difficult to comprehend, since the misunderstandings and myths surrounding
them impede the correct explanation. The aim of moral education is to create common feelings
with others, and to make one committed to one's own personal obligations and acts. The Moral
Agency is a dual state that includes a teacher as a moral individual engaging in ethical teaching
through professional behavior and as a moral educator who teaches, students the same core
values and principles that he or she seeks to follow in practice. Ethical expertise can better
capture the essence of teaching professionalism as it allows teachers to understand the
complexity of their moral organization (Campbell, 2008). Ethics is closely related to the ideals of
duty, confidence and reputation. It should always be equitable, truthful, open and respectful of
the rights and privacy of those within society (Sadock, & Ruiz, 2014). There are several
collections of principles in society.
Summarize the moral/ethical issue
In reference to an article by Sori, Hecker and Bachenberg, (2015) on ethical and legal
considerations when Counselling Children and Families, the basis on which counseling is based
is the ethical duty to keep knowledge gained in the field of counseling confidential from others.
Privacy is discussed in all codes of conduct of mental health fields.
The moral and ethical dilemmas
One ethical dilemma that may arises from the article involves nurses who note their
coworker's lack of expertise face an ethical dilemma as to whether to carry the matter to their
nurse manager. To help solve this ethical problem, nurse managers should work hard to educate
their nurses about the Code of Ethics and to educate them about the Code of Ethics for their
particular medical facility. Nurse managers should also provide their nurses with daily training
on recurrent issues (Sori, Hecker & Bachenberg, 2015).
One example of a popular ethical problem that nurses struggle with is the setting of patient
boundaries. Nurses and nurse managers dedicate their careers to ensuring patients get the
treatment they need such that it can also be difficult to create professional boundaries. Patients
should not rely on or give gifts to nurses beyond their professional ability and should not
establish romantic relationships with them. Nurse managers can intervene in situations where
either patients or nurses cross ethical and professional boundaries (Sori, Hecker & Bachenberg,
2015).
Texas state law
Texas State laws mandate that the counselor in a challenging position to choose to follow
the spirit of the law against the possible additional damage that may have happened to a child
who may or may not have done so (American Nurses Association, 2014).
Online ethical process
The American Nurses Association expects APRNs to provide treatment in a manner that
preserves and protects healthcare clients' autonomy, integrity and rights, while demonstrating a
dedication to self-care, stress control, and self-relationship and others (American Nurses
Association, 2014).
Conclusion
The counselor would provide a non-judgmental professional service, free from
discrimination and respecting the individuality of the client. Counselors respect the basic
humanity, value and dignity of all people, and this is expressed in their work. It is very important
that no value judgment should be passed on to the client and the counselor should be free from
bias, interest, opinion, favour, discrimination about the physical appearance, gender, location and
status of the client. To be mindful of one's ideals, behaviors and convictions and not to force
them on clients. Second, create a relationship of assistance in order to preserve the dignity and
empowerment of the client without providing advice.
