Vitamins and supplements I have heard of are vitamin b12, vitamin d, prenatal vitamins,
calcium, zinc ,iron, folate, then of course you have your vitamins a, c, and e. There are so
many different types out there for our bodies and what we need. The main supplements we
need are vitamin c and d. These are two very important supplements for our body because
one supports our immune system and the other supports our bones. I believe that these
vitamins are nutrition science because each one of these vitamins are nutrients our body
needs to function on a daily basis. With out these essential vitamins our bodies would be
weak and could cause physical and health damages. We do not take in enough of these
vitamins through out the day, which is why its very important that you maintain the
nutrients we need in our body. Exercising and eating right goes along with these essential
vitamins. Its very important to stay healthy to keep out immune system up that way we can
fight off any sickness that try's to enter our bodies. I have heard of mostly Vitamins D and
C. I have heard of others but mainly these 2 because both my niece and nephew were
vitamin d deficient and my nephew at the age of two had to get all his baby teeth removed
because they either decayed or was extremely rotten. My niece two front teeth had to be
removed they where so rotten they became infected. During that time I was pregnant with
my daughter and I wanted to breastfeed my daughter like my sister did with her children so
I had to do some research on what causes vitamin d deficiency. I ended up using vitamin d
drops that was FDA approved brands. I believed the nutrition science because vitamins are
needed to function and for growth as well as to help our immune system. when I get sick or
even if I feel I'm gonna get sick I use the emergency it's full of vitamin C. I think the
science of it is true because everything we eat does not give us enough of the nutrients we
need to fight off colds or make sure our bones are strengthen. That is why we take vitamins
to do what the food was not able to contribute. The vitamins I have heard of are the basics
such as, Vitamin A, B, C, and D. I have also heard of things like fish oil, folic acid, fiber,
and turmeric. One thing I have learned from being in college is how to recognize a fake
article/post/website. I pay attention closely to where I get my information. That is with just
about anything. I look for FDA approvals and I like to read the research on the particular
subject I am interested in purchasing and consuming. But to be honest I am very interested
in science and the things that someone can learn from Science. There are also companies
that like to mimic the latest trends. All in all the trend may be something that works but
when something works so does everyone else's idea on it. You can buy something that
claims to do the same thing but for cheaper, but this item has not backing. You have to pay
attention to the accreditation the Suppliers hold. You don't want to take something that does
not have the proper credentials to making the product at all. It may take more time to do
research but what we learn can help what you consume. The vitamins or supplements I
have heard of are Vita Fusion, Spring Valley and Nature Made. I will decide if the
information I received is based in nutrition and science or not by if you are ingest it and if
it’s good for your health or not. The specific examples to support my response are vitamins
D and vitamins D3. I have heard of so many different nutrients nutrition best supplements
and vitamins such as Vitamin D CB B 12. When I was younger and my family ran ad stray
dog shelter that we put dogs up for adoption in my step mom used to use certain types of
minerals that would help treat open wounds or sores on dogs and or ringworm or things like
that if they've gotten them called the mineral silver. Almost as if a clear water looking
tasteless mineral but it actually seen it work I'm feeling even humans dogs anyting quicker
when they had an open wound. Some supplements that could be protein creatine mixed
drinks that you can use to get all your protein in your nutrients for workouts or muscle
building fat burning and so on. The way that I tell anything when it comes to nutrition and
supplements if it is it all healthy for you the nutrition facts will be posted right on the side
of whatever it is that you by listing any vitamin mineral nutrient anything that you will be
investing it comes to nutrition orange nutrition facts it is or will be posted on the container
if not then it does not have much or any nutritional value to it. I have heard of many
vitamins which include one a day, multivitamins for children and prenatal, and bariatric
vitamins. I always compare labels to well known vitamins, and ones that my doctor
instructs me to take. If I am unsure about what exactly the vitamin/ingredients are I look
them on the internet to see what others have to say. These past few years it has been
brought to my attention that my son and I both have vitamin D, and folic acid defiencies.
Our doctor prescribed supplements and since the vitamin d is over the counter I had to grab
something on the shelves that matched the amount we needed per day. When I was growing
up my family would use b12 vitamins for extra energy, and honestly looking back they
were taking too many for what was instructed. Prenatal vitamins are important for mom and
baby, and helps keep everyone healthy. With having my weight loss surgery it is important
that I take my vitamins daily since I can not eat a lot of food. Some of the supplements and
vitamins I have heard about would be One A Day or this one called skinnyFit which is a
Peptides Powder. One of the vitamins I use in a daily matter is a prenatal due to postpartum
and helps me with my cycle, so I believe it helps with my nutrients such as iron or fibers.
Over the years I have read labels on bottles to make sure that there is nothing that could
affect my body I also look for FDA approved that would support what to take instead of
taking anything given over the counter or by prescription. When it comes to vitamins for
my children I look for the " USP" tag on the bottle that it shows that it meets the
requirements, not everything is safe in the long run so you want to make sure you read the
bottles to understand what is in the supplements and the side affects. I have been given so
may medications because some doctor only predict what is wrong with you so In the long
run I continue to drink alot of fluids and a B12 vitamin to give me a boost. Vitamins and
supplements I have heard of are Women's One a Day, vitamins, K, D, B12, B6, B8 biotin,
folic acid and multivitamins. I currently take Women's One a Day for my pregnancy. It
contains iron and folic acid. Folic acid is beneficial to the baby's nervous system, so I make
sure I take them daily. B6 has helped me a lot throughout my pregnancy for nausea. When I
am feeling tired, I make sure I take B12 and it gives me a burst of energy.
A way I decide if the information I receive is based in nutrition science or not is reading up
on the labels of the bottle. I can research the name of the vitamin or supplement to see if it
follows the proper guidelines of the IOM(institute of medicine). Another way would be to
look for "USP" on the label ensuring it meets the standards of the US pharmacopeia. You
want to make sure to read the label carefully to understand exactly what is in the
supplements. Not everything is safe to take nor has it been regulated by the FDA so you
want to be careful not to take just anything presented or given to you. Some vitamins that I
have heard of is Flintstones for kids and also prenatal vitamins. The only vitamins I have
ever taken is prenatal vitamins. I believe that they are based on nutrition science. Prenatal
vitamins help with the development of a woman's baby. They can also help a woman hair
and nails grow. Taking prenatal vitamins are not just for women that are pregnant. They
can be taken before and after pregnancy. As for the Flintstone vitamins, my four kids take
those. They enjoy taking their vitamins everyday. Those vitamins help strengthen children
immune system. Since the pandemic is really when I started giving them vitamins. My
children rarely gets sick. I have noticed that over these past couple of years since they have
been taking the vitamins, their skin is looking more clear and nails are growing faster. As
for myself, I do not take vitamins like I know I should. I have tried Emergen-C before. I
have taken that if I feel like I am coming down with a cold. That is just vitamin C. I mix
with water and drink it and within 24 hours, I start feeling better. Some of the vitamins or
supplements that I have heard of is multivitamins, B12, Vitamin D, and Vitamin C. The
way that I decide if the information for the vitamin is based in nutrition science or not is by
doing my research on the vitamins or supplements before I purchase or start taking the
vitamin or supplements. I have started taking Vitamin d and Vitamin C since the start of the
Covid 19 virus. Vitamin D and Vitamin C helps boost your immune system to help you
body fight off viruses. For me since i started taking the vitamins i have not got sick, even
though before the start i would only get sick maybe once a year, but so far in the last year i
have not got sick not even once, and i do work from home now as well so that may also
play a big part in the vitamins working really good as well. I really have no idea when it
comes to many of the vitamins or supplements out there. I have tried Testosterones,
proteins, soy, and what ever else they put in to pre-workout and post-workout supplements.
I used to take them everyday when I was in my youth and working out everyday. I know
that there are several more vitamins and supplements out there now then when I was taking
them. I remember feeling great, running 8 miles a day hitting the guy after a long day and
still being able to pump out some sets. After my injury I couldn't go to the gym anymore so
my diet went to crap and I stopped taking the workout supplements. Now a days, the
vitamins that I take are folic acids, B-12, and other stuff that the VA says I need to take. I
found out that my blood cells are not being developed as they should and are more of a tear
drop shape, and they are not being absorbed as they should. What does that mean?? More
meds and more vitamins, and most of all, more Folic Acid. I have recently ( last month)
had gastric sleeve surgery along with that some of the vitamins i take daily now are
multivitamins , calcium, biotin, and B12 . From personal experience i have noticed when i
forget to take my vitamins i can tell my body is not fully up to par. I feel sluggish and
weak. My hair falls out much more if i go days without taking them. After surgery i
attended some classes that broke down the importance of taking the vitamins and what ones
are best to take. I will say that staying hydrated is just as important. I was also taught
electrolytes will target the ares its needed and does wonders for the body. After surgery i
did a good amount of surgery I was to nervous to not take the physicians advice about
taking daily vitamins. I do have a friend who did the same surgery at the same time and she
doesn't take any vitamins an says she feels fine. I think once i'm able to open up to new
foods i could be able to cut back on supplements and base vitamins off food being
consumed. I have heard of tons of vitamins such as A, B, B12, C, D, etc. I also have heard
of supplements for anxiety, weight loss, nervousness, probiotics, fish oils, herbs, etc.The
information I base on these vitamins and supplements is based on if they are regulated. If
they are not regulated than I do not base them on nutrition science. If they are regulated by
a certain association than yes I will base it off nutrition science. Some of the vitamins I
have heard of are calcium, B12, Alive and prenatal. I have heard of many vitamins, but
these are some of the ones I have taken in the past and now. I do believe that these vitamins
provide the nutrients they are supposed to . I had to take calcium and potassium pills once
because my levels were low and after a few months my levels were better. I currently take
Alive one a day women vitamin. They do give me energy, but my nails and hair do not
seem like they are growing much from them like it claims they should do. Now when I was
pregnant with my children the prenatal vitamins, I was taking gave me tons of energy. The
best thing I can say about those was that they made my hair and nails grow a lot. I heard
you can still take them after pregnancy but I never really looked much into it. Some of the
vitamins I have heard of are b12, iron, potassium, and multivitamins. I think the
information I received is really based on nutrition science. I think if you do your research
on these vitamins you find out a lot of benefits from them. Or even by taking them you can
feel a difference. A multivitamin has helped me a lot with just overall engergy as well as
hair and nail growth. After having my baby I lost some of hair in the front and taking the
vitamin really helped with it growing back. I think when it comes to taking vitamins each
person needs to do their research and kind of decide for themselves. Even by giving them a
try and seeing how they feel with them.
