Most millennials, being way over 50%, get their local news from none other than
their smart phones. Just by getting on their internet browser or downloading a news
app. While a smaller number of millennials choose to view their local news from the
television. I, myself like to watch the nightly news on the T.V. Like most people I
choose what to watch and listen to out of being bias. Something a good critical
thinker would change.
There are so many different ways that one can get involved in ur our government
process. Yes, you can go out and vote, you can fill out the census, and even pay your
taxes. I love it when people get involved in their local government. When an issue
with a law arrises in the state i live in, I always try to figure out the truth on both
sides the issue. Then once i have a clear understanding, I can form my opinion on it.
Also, you can protect the laws you truly believe in by attending town hall meeting on
it and speaking out for it.
A fallacy I see a lot of is with cell phone commercials. Every company wants to have
the lowest plan, so they lower the month cost for service but then have you pay full
price for the phone. Learning everything that I have in Chapter 10, I can now spot
fallacies a lot easier, know what type they are and use an open mind to be able to
What I am in for.in dealing with that fallacy.
If i was asked what i liked the most about this class I would have to say that I
enjoyed the interactive learning videos a lot. I enjoyed seeing an instructors face
speaking to me instead of just reading in the book.. The one thing i did struggle with
were the fallacies and how to know what kind they are and if it is even really a
fallacy. That topic I had to read over a few ties to get it. Overall I did enjoy this class.
