My dream Job
My dream job is not the career path that I am currently pursuing. I have always been
fascinated with the weather. When I was a little girl I would sit on the window and watch the
storms unfold. The sky was so beautiful to me as it changed so rapidly. The rain on bouncing on
the roof was so calming, the rays of sun that beamed on my face was amazing, and the very little
snow that we received was magical.
Nature can be beautiful and terrifying, and I wanted to be the one to capture it all. I had it
all planned out once and I graduated high school I was going to attend Thee Jackson State
University and become a meteorologist. I have always been in tune with the weather. I am one of
those people that can smell when the rain is coming. I love to point out and identify thunderstorm
cells and funnel clouds.
I wanted to land a job at the national weather service station and be on call whenever they
needed me. I had it all planned out, but life happened. This was one of my biggest dream. I knew
that meteorologist didn’t make a lot of money, but it was something that I loved and was
passionate about. I wanted to love going into work every day. Hopefully one day I could still
achieve that goal, but as of now I am on a different path. I still wonder to this day what it could
have been.
