This week helped my realize that I have forgotten some of the knowledge I learned in
high school. I forgot most of the key terms. However, I felt this week was a refresher. I
think review what I already know and learning new will help me understand
environmental challenges and, how we can better manage those challenges.
Two environmental challenges we face today in sociality is climate change. Some people
today are skeptic about climate change is caused due to humans. Another problem we
face today is sustainability. Before going through this week’s reading I did not know what
sustainability is.
Hello class the 2 major environmental problems are Pollution and Climate changes. I
looked up my results online. The pollution is a very bad issue that we cannot control, the
problem is we are overloading are atmospheric absorbs to much CO2. Burning the fossil
fuels, deforestation for agriculture and industrial activities. They are causing the climate
disruption. The solution for this one is to preserve what is left, and be prepared for
climate changes, global warming. Overpopulation. Most of all the climate changes have
been caused by that of all the pollution and all the things they are not being prepared
for all of the things that are associated with the problems that cause pollution, so that
way they are totally ready for all the different things that may happen with the climate.
Also the results from building the proficiency the score were much lower then what they
should be.
After taking this week's Build Your Proficiency tests I was a bit surprised at how many
terms and definitions I did not get correct or know the answers for. Two major
environmental challenges faced by society today are climate change and sustainability.
When looking at the results of my Build Your Proficiency tests I seemed to have a better
understanding and knowledge of the ins and outs of sustainability than anything else.
Climate change has been something that has been talked about and discussed for many
years yet my tests reflected a low understanding of the ins and outs of climate change.
Some new information that I have learned regarding sustainability from this week's
diagnostics include how sustainability works. In the sense that we deplete resources in
such as fashion that we can not replace them quickly enough compared to how they are
used.
One aspect that I had no knowledge on was the Environmental Act, and one fact I did
learn this week was that environmental tax is meant to motivate companies and
businesses to find alternative ways of energy to shy them away from creating pollution.
