I chose the article written by Hanna Kozlowska titled “to combact institutional
sexism, the military must recruit more women” for my proposed thesis statement. I
completely agree with the article as a whole, and here is why. I am a firm believer
that everything should have a certain level of diversity, whether that be race,
gender, religion, and political views. I do believe that there is strength in diversity,
and two is always better than one, so I like her point of view that one person or one
gender may have more suggestions then the other that could be used in that setting.
I do feel there should be equality in the military however there isn’t much equality
when it comes to physical strength and endurance so women are seen as the weaker
gender and may get overlooked more when it comes to being in the military but I
think both women and men should have a right to serve their country, here or
overseas. I am huge supporter of women serving in the military and I would
encourage any women to be brave and do it if that's truly what they want to do.
