Introduction to Computer and Network Hardware
I think the LabSim assignments were beneficial. At first, I had difficulty completing them
because I was not taking time to slow down and read the directions thoroughly. Instead of
connecting the plugs it told me to, I tried to plug them all in. Then, I would get frustrated
because I could not figure out why I was not passing it. Also, it was hard to maneuver at times.
If there was a way to zoom in on specific parts of the motherboard without zooming in on the
whole screen, I think it would be easier to complete. At the same time, the assignment was very
educational and hands-on. I have a mixed learning style, so online classes have been slightly
challenging for me overall. At times, I learn better from hearing a lecture. Other times, I learn
from taking notes, or seeing someone else do it. Being able to do an interactive assignment
really made me sit down and take time to complete the assignment instead of just writing
whatever on the DB or taking Intellipath test. I think more courses should have assignments like
this because it helps you focus, learn, and it is fun. I had no problems with the other
assignments. However, I do have some concerns/questions about future assignments. When
doing individual projects, it is asked to address the following, then wants the references in APA
formatting. How long does our writing need to be about each question that is asked? Also, is
double spacing required? I do not mean to ask dumb questions; I just want to make sure I do it
correctly.
