Many companies today outsource their manufacturing processes. They usually hire a
third party to produce an entire product or assemble parts of the product. The main reason for
this is to reduce production costs. Outsourcing manufacturing to a third party in a low-cost
country can lead to a significant decrease in production costs. In this paper, I will evaluate
India and Mexico as the two countries considered for a new manufacturing facility and then
recommend the most suitable and the least suitable locations.
Sustainability Measures and Environmental Regulation
India has taken measures to control pollution. For instance, the company has taken
significant measures to prevent plastic pollution, including forbidding single-use plastics and
supporting EPR (extended producer responsibility). India is also deploying renewable energy
(Anderson, 2021). The goal is to increase economic development, enhance access to energy,
enhance energy security, and most importantly, reduce climate change. The Environmental
Protection Act of 1986 is a major law in India. The law was created to improve and protect
the quality of the environment and prevent environmental pollution. Mexico is also taking
significant measures to protect the environment. In 2015, Mexico signed the Paris Agreement
