Scenario 3, which focuses on mental health, is the data set I chose for this project.
Because I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology with a focus on
mental health, I chose this scenario. Understanding this field will enable me to assist
and comprehend the behavior of others. I'll be able to use the knowledge and skills I
gain to help people who are struggling with personal issues, who are hopeless, and who
don't know how to get out. Humans have been overly influenced by the brain.
Psychologists will be able to improve people's judgment and decision-making by
comprehending its behavior. Short-term treatment known as cognitive behavioral
therapy (CBT) is the focus of the study. A group of forty adolescents who attend an
inpatient clinic for self-destructive behaviors are the participants in this study. After that,
the participants were randomly divided into groups of equal size. When compared to the
participants in Treatment B, who received a more strenuous form of CBT, those in
Treatment A received a less strenuous form. Given that all patients received one-on-
one therapy from trained therapists for the same amount of time, I can determine if
there is any comparison or difference between the two treatments by analyzing the
data. For six weeks, the participants received treatment for one and a half hours each
day. All participants in this study were provided with consent forms and informed of their
participation in the study. When looking at the potential problems that could arise from
this study, the consent forms and who signs them first. A parent or legal guardian must
sign the consent forms if the study participants are under the age of 18. By doing so,
you will protect yourself from any unethical actions. Introduction: Ensure Alignment The
studies that exemplify and agree with the American Psychological Association (APA)
Ethical of Psychologists and the Code of Conduct were included in the same data set.
All consent forms were signed by all participants who were aware that they were
participating in a study. If the participants exhibit any behavior that would necessitate
immediate intervention, ethical concerns may arise when analyzing and reporting the
statistical data. In the event that this were the case, the participants would be treated
outside the scope of the study, which would alter their marriage in accordance with
Rational-Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), which enables patients to recognize
particular unreasonable patterns. SampleThe study's sample size is 40; with a small
sample, it would be impossible to draw a more conclusive conclusion; however, if the
small sample serves as a foundation for a larger number, it will be simpler to ascertain
whether the provided data will remain the same after adding more participants. A two-
sample t-test can be used to compare the results of two different types of cognitive-
behavioral therapy (CBT) in this study. I would be able to determine which test would
benefit participants in the future by using the two-sample t-test, and I would also be able
to identify any differences between the results of the various tests. I would be able to
select the statistical method that should be used after the examination has been carried
out with the data that have been provided. With this information, I can assume that the
patient's illogical thoughts and self-destructive behaviors will not be affected by
cognitive behavioral therapy, which would be the independent variable. The fact that the
mean connecting the two studies differs when analyzing the results suggests that a
variety of factors contributed significantly to the outcomes. Analyses of Data: Mean and
Standard Deviation The mean, also known as the "average," enables us to describe a
collection of numbers and determine the data group's dominant position. We will be able
to observe the data and determine whether the provided information is too close using
the standard deviation. Treatment A's mean and standard deviation are 42.9 and 17.8,
respectively. The mean and standard deviation for treatment B are 51.65 and 18.3
respectively. Data Analysis: HistogramEach histogram depicts 20 patients from each
group receiving treatment. Treatment A had a mean of 42.974, a median of 4150, a
mode of 7070, and a standard deviation of 17.76424558603037. Treatment B had a
mean of 51.6580, a median of 5182, and a mode of 4449, with a standard deviation of
18.28221742.
