The policy recommendation by Rebecca Takala examines the worldwide health
catastrophe caused by the HIV/AIDS social epidemic. The paper discusses how HIV/AIDS
spreads, how to keep people safe, and how to stop the disease's spread. Rebecca included
important context, supporting details, and the present prevalence of this condition in the study.
There are approximately 38 million HIV-positive individuals worldwide, of which 36 million are
adults and 1.7 million are children. Unprotected intercourse and needles are the two primary
factors that cause the illness to propagate, claims the research. There is now neither a therapy nor
a cure for HIV/AIDS. The policy plan talks about enlisting significant collaboration to start up
more secure needle manufacturing for the healthcare sector. The majority, if not all, of the
estimated 1-3 million unintentional needle sticks that occur each year involve the primary target
and could be completely avoided by using safety needles in hospital environments (Takala.
2022).
The paper mentions conservatism and pragmatism as its ideological stances. While both
strategies need substantial collaboration and a sizable healthcare industry, they are particularly
accessible for this research. These methods play a significant role in providing public health care
globally. A crucial human rights concern is public health. In addition to encouraging sustainable
community and positive lifestyles, combating viral infections, safeguarding against ecological
harmful effects, and planning for as well as reacting to catastrophes are also duties of the
government. I feel Rebecca's strategies provide important information.
Both qualitative and quantitative methodological approaches were used in the study to address
the partisan issue. The goal of both strategies was to pinpoint the causes of a present
international problem. According to the research article, the quantitative technique uses intricate
data to examine a theory (Takala, 2022). The qualitative investigation approach is one that is
frequently utilized to collect additional data. This approach uses statistics and factual information
to provide a clear understanding of the problem. Also, it was informed what figures the world is
working with in terms of the use of needles.
The evidence given across the investigation has been the paper's major emphasis. The
quantitative methods of research have good evidence that supports the policy. The research
proposal was the paper's main flaw, in my opinion. But altogether, I enjoyed reading it.
