Part 2: Executive Summary
Purpose and Response:
Recently, it has come to our attention that employees are grappling with burnout
stemming from excessive workloads. In response to this concern, the company is making a
concerted effort to thoroughly investigate this.
Results:
The demographic most affected by burnout appears to be employees with five or
more years of tenure, specifically females within this group. The results show most
demographics regularly engaging in relaxation practices, which can help reduce stress at
the workplace and at home. Another positive area found in the results was the job
satisfaction. It remains high across all age groups and genders, indicating a love for their
jobs.
Recommendations:
Burnout can lead a drastic drop in productivity however, the good news is there
are ways in which to help reduce or at the very least mitigate burnout. My first recommendation
is to help reduce the workload off higher tenured employees. This can be done by delegating
minor tasks down to newer employees. This will also help empower a more collaborative work
environment. Another recommendation is to ensure a rewards and recognition program is in
place to ensure those higher tenure employees feel valued and that their hard work is not going
unrecognized.
