Final Project Milestone One

Introduction
A modest brick-and-mortar company called Accessible Fashion specializes in luxury
purses, shoes, and clothes. For both men and women, we provide reduced designer attire and
accessories. Our current website only offers a few of our items and does not allow for online
purchasing or payment. For now, we are not active on social media.
Problem Statement
The store's lack of an internet presence is something the owner is trying to fix. The firm
eventually wants to boost their online presence and develop an ecommerce profile in order to
increase client satisfaction and expand the business.
Two Technologies
In my business system analysis, I will look into two technologies: social computing and
intelligent systems. A firm may use social media to grow by utilizing social computing.
Information collection and analysis are carried out by intelligent systems.
Business Requirements
Objectives
This endeavor should result in the company's overall growth. Creating a social media
presence will increase followers, and implementing intelligent algorithms can assist spot patterns
and learn about consumer behavior. By meeting the demands of the clients and expanding the
customer base, this helps the company achieve its objective.
Project Description
My company has to first develop an internet profile in order to accomplish the goals. This
would entail building a social media presence so that followers could be informed of promotions
and discounts as well as an e-commerce profile so that consumers could place orders online as
well as in physical stores. An expanded client base, greater customer happiness, and more
revenue are the intended outcomes for the project's conclusion. As many sales are currently
being lost and will continue to be lost in the absence of an online presence, it is crucial for my
company owner to think about introducing new technologies. To keep customers satisfied,
technology in business is essential.
Technology Requirements
Collaboration between employees and clients must be made easier via social computing
technologies, both within and externally. The intelligent system must be capable of integrating
online shopping, maintaining customer contracts, managing inventory and shipping, processing
payments online, and delivering reports on sales.
Competitors and Technology
Lyst and Kohl's are two rival businesses that compete in the same sector as my company.
Both Lyst and Kohl's have social media and internet presences for interacting with current and
future consumers. In order to help organize and translate data into information, they both make
use of intelligent systems.
Social Computing
The fashion business Lyst was mainly founded on an internet platform. The creator saw that he
might increase his market by utilizing social media. He says that the inspiration for the concept
came from using Spotify, and that Lyst's method is "a little bit like fashion mix tapes." Using
social media, consumers may explore a vast selection, create lists, "like" businesses, and make
payments online.
Intelligent Systems
For the most part, Kohl's relies on sophisticated technologies to generate income. They
employ intelligent systems in a number of ways, including using search engines like Google.
Searches may be carefully examined using data collecting and analysis to determine what items
clients may require. Moreover, Kohl's obtains data via Facebook.
Technology Benefit
By being proactive rather than reactive in their operation, Kohl's takes advantage of the
technology of intelligent systems. You may view your search history and recent pages to
discover what is trending. This enables them to change prices and alter inventory accordingly.
Saving time, effort, and money by using an intelligent system to process these items instead of
several workers looking through incoming data. By concentrating on what consumers want,
Accessible Fashion would significantly expand the industry if it adopted the same strategy.
