The cultural profile of the selected nation i.e. Canada has been presented and compared with that
of the host country. The cultural environment could have a considerable influence on the
operations of the business undertaking. Several elements have been identified that could
influence the business and its operations. For example, the degree of individualism is high in the
U.S.A as compared to that in Canada. So the company would have to focus on creating teams so
that individuals could function in a collective way to accomplish the organizational goals and
objectives. The focus on competition and achievement in Canada is lower as compared to that
in the U.S.A. By taking this aspect into consideration, the business could lay emphasis on valuing
human factors so that a healthy work setting could be established (Country comparison. Hofstede
Insights, 2021). These are some of the key cultural dimensions that must be given high importance
by the business before it decides to enter the Canadian market setting.

Several political aspects relating to the United States of America and Canada have been presented
in the table. Diverse factors such as the existing political systems, current leaders, and economic
measures could have a major influence on the business entity and its performance in Canada. For
instance, the GDP in the U.S.A is better than that in Canada. Thus, the economic setting could
restrict the ability of the company to expand its profitability and revenue generation ability. The
Purchasing Power Parity in the U.S.A is higher than that of Canada which, implies that the
economic productivity and standard of living in the host nation are better. This factor could have
a considerable degree of impact on the demand for the business entity’s offerings and the ability
of the market audience to purchase them. The policies ad regulations that have been introduced
by the current leaders in Canada would have a major influence on the performance of the
company in the global business setting. There exist certain similarities in areas such as Gender
Development Index, Gender Empowerment Measure, and Human Development Index, which could
diminish the political and economic differences for the business.

1 Canadian Dollar = 0.79 USD
The value of US dollar is higher than the Canadian dollar and it would have an impact on the
profitability of the business in the global market setting.
Legal and Regulatory Considerations
A number of laws and regulations exist in Canada that influence the business landscape. One of
the main laws that would influence the business and its operations is the Canadian Human Rights
Act (CHRA). The business entity would have to adhere to it and make sure that there is no
discrimination on the basis of age, gender, or other factors (Branch, 2021). Similarly, it would also
have to give importance to regulations relating to tax and intellectual property aspects so that the
business operations could be conducted smoothly.
