I relate most everything back to my job and my employer... I mean I
spend the majority of my time there! That being said, I have chosen
to discuss Origin Bank's most recent advertising campaign: "What's
your Origin story?" Origin is very much a relationship bank. We want
to build relationships with our customers so that they know they can
call us for anything. The purpose of the campaign is to invite
customers and employees alike to share their Origin Bank history:
Why do you bank with us? Why do you work here?
I think the campaign message speaks to both emotional and financial
dimensions of wellness. Emotional wellness is creating satisfying
relationships. (Garcia, 2015). The message our ad campaign is trying
to portray is that we want to build a relationship with our customers.
To us, you're not just another account.
Financial wellness is satisfaction with your financial situation. (Garcia,
2015). By building relationships with our customers, we at Origin
Bank are able to be the best advisors we can so that you can achieve
your financial goals. We're able to tailor our advice to our customer's
specific needs.
I hope the social implication of our ad message is that 1 - we want
your business, 2 - we want to build a relationship with you so that
you can achieve emotional wellness by knowing you have a person
you can speak to about your finances... not a machine, and 3 - we
want to be the best advisors we can so that we can help you achieve
your goals and have financial wellness.
