Artifacts and Theme
Cultural Artifacts
The first artifact I have chosen is the painting titled Oath of the Horatii. It was painted by
artist Jacques-Louis David in 1784. The cultural location of the painting is Rome, Italy. The
painting depicts “three brothers of the Horatius family swear an oath to their father that they will
fight to the death to defend the city of Rome” (Soomo Learning, 2017).
The second artifact I have chosen is the ballet , written by Igor The Rite of Spring
