It is a comedy show that began December 17 ,1989 on the fox broadcasting station about a

classic American life that consisted of five main characters, Homer the dad, Marge the mom,
Bart the son, Lisa the daughter, and Maggie the baby daughter. It takes place in the fictional
place called Springfield it is characterized for its parodies of American culture and society,
television, and the human condition. It was created by Matt Groening Who named the characters
after his own family members. It was a dysfunctional family, and the shorts became part of the
Tracey Ullman show on April 19th, 1987.
