The facility I have chosen is Clearbrook Treatment center. From what
I understand Clearbrook treatment center is under the wing of
Banyan Treatment Center. Banyan treatment center was formed in
2012 by Joe Tuttle. Joe was born and raised in North Branch,
Michigan, Joe Tuttle moved to Florida in 2004 to escape the harsh
winters. He studied Business at Eastern University and has owned
and operated many successful companies over the years. "In 2012
Banyan Treatment Center was born. Banyan was initially a small
“mom and pop” program but did not stay that way for long. In the
next two years, Joe brought aboard some talented individuals that
shared a similar vision and work ethic, and Banyan began to grow.
Today Banyan provides all levels of care in the treatment continuum,
many specialty programs, and locations nationally. “I love my staff
and our team is what makes this company flourish. We truly are a
family, and as long as we continue to share the same passion, Banyan
will continue to be the special place that it is.” Joe holds the title of
Chief Executive Officer of all Banyan sites and continues to be the
driving force behind our success. " The mission of Banyan is not
clearly stated but it has multiple sayings of being there for its patients
every step of the way multiple times on its website.
The Community Mental health act of 1963- Began the delivery of
mental health services and inspired a new era of optimism in mental
healthcare. This act relates to Clearbrook treatment center as they
specialize in mental health treatment and provide not only residential
help to its patients but treatment options from holistic to art therapy
to help people cope with their emotions and find a healthy and stable
outlet. This act "offered support to construct mental health centers
that provided community-based care as an alternative to
institutionalization. It not only restructured how services were
provided, but it also restructured who performed those services."
