Strategic planning is when a organization creates objectives and sets
goals focused on where they see themselves in the future. Going
through a hospital merge is not an easy task and takes a lot of planning.
It involves many different individuals and it is important to understand
the way the organization works in order for the merge to be successful.
Many different projects can be going on at once and it is important to
keep them organized. Project managmenent is a way to keep projects
on task and to make sure the task to the project are staying on track and
being completed in the timeframe needed. If a task seems to be taking
longer than expected it is important for the project manager to make
sure that this is addressed and brought to attention of the others that
are involved. I really liked using the Gantt chart when I needed to create
a timeline for the final project start to finish. Once the tasks were laid
out and put into a visual representation it made it easier to see how the
tasks were being completed and if they were completed on time.
