1. As much as I would like to think there’s not, there has always been a double standard between men and women.
Being a woman, I have experienced being looked down on for the same behaviors a man would be praised for.
(Promiscuity, for example).
2. My age is an influential factor because many of the jobs I have worked at, I have been in a position of authority,
oftentimes supervising employees that are older than me, which makes it harder for me to be taken seriously or
respected.
3. When thinking of racism, I believe some people may not think individuals that are white face racism, which is not
true. Being a Caucasian female, I have faced many assumptions. For one, I have had people judge me solely based on

my race and gender without getting to know me first.
Example: My gender is an influential factor because I am treated differently in my family. I am the only female out of
all of my siblings and cousins, so I am sometimes left out of gatherings.
