On my very first run through the simulation, I achieved global
international status, my family relationship is medium, and my
company ownership value was high. my second and third runs
through the simulation had the same results, I just could not figure
out what to change to make the family relationship higher. I was
aware of some options that might raise it, however, it would do so at
the expense of the company.
I believe the choice to have Harsh focus more on the company earlier
on instead of taking a break with his family was the first step toward
growing his company. Some other decisions that were made that
impacted the company's growth in a positive manner were the
decisions to create an initial public offering, seek funding from
investors, and the decision to hire qualified personnel for certain
positions. It probably did not feel like it to some of the family
members in the simulation, but all of my decisions kept the family's
interests in mind. If I had made poor decisions for the company, it
could have failed and then the entire family would be out of a source
of income and their way of life. Harsh did not inherit the company.
Rather, he did what he had to and made the decisions he needed to in
order to provide for his family. This concept was the basis for all of
my decisions. Needless to say, I would not change any of my answers
regarding the growth of the company. However, I would love to know
which options affected the family dynamic more.
