Just a reminder, my company is Tesla, Inc. I must admit through the
deep complexity of a company with respect to its product or service;
we tend to get lost in the details of it all. Sometimes we need to
refocus our efforts on the simple things. That is what feedback loops
are all about, which, as we know:
"Are part of a system in which some portion (or all) of the system's
output is used as input for future operations. Each feedback loop has
a minimum of four stages. During the first stage, input is created.
During the second stage, input is captured and stored. During the
third stage, input is analyzed and during the fourth stage, the insight
gained from analysis is used to make decisions" (Fitzgibbons, 2019).
With that, let's look at the following questions:
1.) Who will you ask for feedback from within the company? I firmly
believe that without customers, we have no business. So with regard
to this question, I am interested wholeheartedly in the people who
buy and utilize our renewable energy products and services. Why is
this? The first three stages are targeted with the consumer in mind; if
we don't have them, we don't have a strategy or, for that matter, a
feedback loop to turn to.
2.) How do you plan to seek and address feedback and concerns
from these sources within the company? Meeting with the
company's top brass to ensure that directives are given and followed.
For example, customer concerns and complaints will ultimately be
given to a person I have designated to oversee our consumers and to
enact any and all changes necessary to ensure they stay happy and
continue to buy and use our products.
3.) Describe strategies you plan to use for seeking and addressing
feedback from customers. I have spoken a lot about our customers,
but as our reading this week indicated, our employees are just as
valuable in terms of a good feedback loop. I thought an excerpt
highlighted that point well: "feedback loops enable employees to be
more empowered and companies to be more responsive, creating the
competitive edge companies need to adapt and thrive" Benjamin, B.
(2016). In other words, we can have a better company by allowing
our employees to speak their minds and, by doing so, affect change.
4.) Outline the internal communication channels you will use to
address feedback from internal and external customers. Some of the
internal and external channels I will use for feedback will be third-
party sites such as Reddit, Google reviews, and Online Blogs where
people can speak freely and openly. As I mentioned earlier, the
internal process would be managed by whomever I had appointed to
oversee consumer satisfaction.
