Feedback loops are a valuable tool that companies can use to help
them succeed. a There are five steps in a feed back loop - design and
plan, collect data, analyze the data, communicate and discuss the
information, and finally course correct. a Following this plan should
lead to success. a It is important to not miss any steps. The easiest
step to miss is the communicate and discuss step. Sometimes after
the data is collected and analyzed it is natural for people to want to
fix the problem so they just move to course correct without having
the important discussions.
I would ask for feedback from the key players within the company.
Surveys are a great way to seek information. I would hold meetings
with management, marketing, finance, research and development,
while also obtaining information from front line staff to see what can
be done to improve products and services to the consumers.
The strategies that I would use to seek and address feedback from
customers are surveys - online and paper since not everyone uses
computers on an everyday basis. I would offer financial incentives
(gift cards) to complete the survey periodically. a My project is an
electric vehicle. a So I would request ongoing surveys - one within 30
days of the purchase date, six months, and then again in a year. This
would give a timeframe for the customer to see what is working great
and what could be improved.
The internal communication channels that I would use to address
feedback from internal and external customers would be emails,
phone calls, and MS Teams meetings. Many people are comfortable
sending emails, however there are some people who prefer to talk it
out with a person on the phone. A new means of communicating is
through MS Teams - video on or off, depending on the preference. a
We use this often where I work and it is an effective method of
communication that allows us to work through issues and resolve
processes that seem to other wise slow us down.
