Toyota has a clear position on DEI, they also have a Diversity Advisor Board
of 4 people and partner with Business groups and partners that have inclusive
networks and environments.

the success of our customers, dealers, team members, suppliers and
communities is key to our success. By embracing and living our commitment
to advance and foster engaged, diverse and inclusive environments, we are
setting the pace in innovation. And, we’re leading the way toward a future of
both physical and upward socioeconomic mobility for all. (Toyota USA, 2022)
We challenge what’s possible and recognize D&I as an essential component of
every team member experience, making the workplace, marketplace, society
and the world a better place by living what we value — equality, respect and
inclusive treatment of all people and increased awareness of conscious and
unconscious discrimination. And, we demonstrate our commitment to doing
this — The Toyota Way — through our stories (Toyota USA, 2022).
• What actions could you take to ensure a diverse, inclusive, and equitable
project team is assembled?
A project team does exist already and based on the annual report they have a
well rounded and inclusive plan in place. The Diversity Advisory Board seems
to be doing a great job. Implementing an employee (anonymous) survey, about
working life in the company can be used as a type of checks and balances for
the Diversity Board to make sure their plans and programs are working.
• What is the company's commitment to CSR and how does it affect their
profitability or image in the market?
Based on our basic philosophy, we aim to contribute to making the earth a
better place to live, enrich lifestyles and promote a compassionate society by
directly facing the changes and challenges surrounding society and by
engaging in value creation through making the most of the core assets and
strengths we have accumulated to date in promoting our diverse businesses.
• How does your product or service align with the company's CSR
program and how can you leverage this position as a competitive tool?
The electric vehicle aligns with the company’s CSR in it’s commitment to
reducing CO2 emissions, mitigating resource depletion and curtailing
environmental risks by promoting environmental management (Toyota
