• Which of the segments do you think you can complete
immediately?
• Customer Segments
• Customer Relationships
• Key Activities
• Channels
• Value Propositions
The determination of the new item for the Toyota company was
made with an abundance of research on the current market demand
we have in the world. The demand for an environmentally friendly
and eco responsible vehicle has become more and more or a demand
in the market. The value proposition can be identified as the demand
for the new product in the current environment we live and offered
by a company that is already reputable in the automobile industry
(Osterwalder, 2010)The Customer segment and customer
relationships are defined already, the customers that already exist in
the market place and are repeat customers can easily be defined with
a User Journey Map to show their engagement with the company and
willingness to continue to purchase through Toyota (Ebinum, 2019).
• Which segments do you think might need more work?
• Key Resources
• Key Partners
Key Resources and Key Partners need more work on the end of
research and deciding what will be best for the company as they are
venturing into a new product field. Identifying key resources will be
paramount to the success of the electric vehicle, the company already
makes hybrid vehicles which could lead to some resources and
partners in the electric vehicle parts areas. Hybrids do have different
engines than fully electric vehicles so there will need to be more
research on which partner and resources will be most effective to
partner with and utilize while keeping cost manageable.
• Are there any factors or segments you had not considered so
far? Which ones? Explain.
• Revenue Streams
• Cost Structure
The segments I had not considered thus far are the revenue streams
& cost structure. The cost structure includes all costs incurred to
operate the business model (Osterwalder, 2010). The revenue stream
wants you to identify what each customer segment is willing to pay,
this is not an area I have considered but definitely an important one
that needs to be researched and identified (Osterwalder, 2010).
