The company that I chose is Kia Corporation. Kia believes that having a
diverse team contributes to their success. Their initiative includes
providing awareness and educational opportunities, creating safe and
open spaces for discussion, encouraging volunteers, building networks
and communities in their workplace, while always looking for ways to
improve their inclusion and diversity programs. Kia is committed to

would ensure a diverse, inclusive, and equitable project team is
assembled is by selecting members or seeking volunteers from
different job types - sales, finance, management, service, etc. I would
also try to mix in various age groups, various races, and include men and
women. This gives many viewpoints and will help the project team
come up with great ideas.
Kia Corporation has a commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. i
Their CSR initiatives focus on clean environment and safe and limitless
movement to create a sustainable world. The Green Light Project is
their flagship global project and exists in eight African countries to offer
schools, vocational training centers, and health centers. i They also have
a Green Travel Program which is geared toward helping the
handicapped. The Good Mobility Program is a charity campaign toward
solving social problems such as environmental issues. And finally, they
have a Local Communities Social Contribution where they fulfill their
social responsibilities to local communities. One of these programs in
the US is a safe driving education program for youths (worldwide
Kia.com).
The electric vehicle aligns with Kia's CSR Program because it is a part of
the larger initiative in the world to go green. Saving the environment
through using less emissions is a significant drive for Kia and all vehicle
manufacturers to push toward electric. By promoting Kia's projects
and helping the underprivileged, the world will be a better place to live.
If we can all help each other grow and fulfill social responsibilities on an
individual basis, whether it be buying an electric car or taking other
steps to save the environment, then the world can thrive and continue
evolving.
