Do I think there is too much regulation of business? No, in some
cases there isn't enough.
The regulations that regulate emissions, trade, and corporate fraud
are beneficial. The EPA regulates the amount of green houses gases a
manufacturer can release, the FTC can protect us from poor
advertising and monopolies that can hurt the "little guy," and
corporate fraud is more of financial protection thanks to companies
like worldcom and Enron. Areas of industries that could use a little
more governing are those that are working in the public sector
(public services) and those that are polluting the environment. While
there are regulations against bribery, it still happens and those who
have plenty of money tend to try to ask inspectors to turn a blind
eye. Those firms that pollute higher than what they are allowed
should be required to plant more trees or other plants to help
combat this. They already get hefty fined why don't they do a
community service too!
I Don't believe that there should be less regulation because I feel as
if that could cause major chaos or problems like the companies
mentioned above.
