The learnings of these last eight weeks have given me a much greater
perspective and appreciation for those who not only write rules, laws,
legislation, etc. but for those lawyers, judges, and jurors who must
understand, interpret, and uphold laws in the best and fairest way. In
my job, I work closely with contract managers and legal and
compliance teams. After this class, I have so much more respect for the
work that goes into everything they pass over to my team so that we
can implement contracts and strategy seamlessly.
I have learned there is so much grey area in legal that it makes my
head spin. I tend to view things in terms of black and white, right or
wrong, and it is clearly not the case when it comes to business law… or
so it seems to me.
Going forward I will start to question more and dig a little deeper for
“possibilities” that could arise or how things could potentially be
interpreted in a different way or viewpoint.
