BIO 120 Discussion 1
When it comes to alcohol consumption, there are numerous concerns. Alcohol abuse may have
long-term repercussions on the body such as heart difficulties, liver failure, memory loss, cancer,
and so on. Alcohol can be hazardous both physically and psychologically. In both America and
other countries, individuals suffer from mental illnesses such as depression that can be caused by
alcohol. For example, (Churchill et Al.,2017) study indicated that large volumes of alcohol
consumption might. Additional physical health difficulties involve the heart. Heavy drinkers are
more likely to develop heart disease, which can be fatal. "Binge drinking can be harmful since
the flow of alcohol can halt the heart" (McMillan, 2012). The third significant influence on
health is cancer. Murray (2017) writes that "alcohol is causally connected to upper aerodigestive
tract malignancies as well as those of the colon, liver, and female breast." "Or do you not know
that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not
your own, 20 for you were bought at a price, therefore honor God in your body" (Corinthians
6:19-20) (ESV).
