Core Value 2: Sanctification
Purpose Statement: As Christians we are called to become disciples and to go out into the
world and spread the word of God and create more disciples who will continue to do the same.
The term Christian is what those who have the beliefs of Christianity. The term Christian means “Christ-
like”, is where Sanctification and Discipleship come in, both are all about becoming more like Christ.
This process will take our entire life praying and spending time with God while allowing the Holy Spirit
to work inside us, so we can become more Christ-like. We are told in Philippians 2:13 “for it is God who
works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose” and in Romans 12:2 “Do not
We are always learning and growing in our faith in every aspect of our lives and in our
relationships with God. We are doing this alongside our fellow disciples, even the ones who may be
younger or older than us. We are all learning and growing together while us as a whole are being called to
fulfill the Great Commission. There are many places in Scripture that tell us to go and spread God’s word
and create disciples. But the main one is Matthew 28:19-20 where Jesus tells us “There for go and make
disciples of all nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and
teaching them to obey everything I have commanded of you and surely I am with you always, to the very
end of age.” We should follow the way Jesus taught and made His own disciples we should do the same,
by openly loving and excepting everyone from all walks of life while embracing them and teaching them
the Gospel.

We go through many trials and trials and tribulations in life, many ups and downs. We all make mistakes,
have our own losses and successes, and many different battles. But there is one thing that never changes
and remains constant no matter what, and that is our God and His love for us. We all fall short and
struggle with different things but His love is something that always remains the same. That’s why through
every struggle, every time we fall down, or each time we feel like giving up, we need to remain devoted
to God and call on Him in our time of need. God is the only one who can give us true comfort and piece.
So we should always keep out faith strong in God and never loose it. Like it says in Colossians 3:17 “And
whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the
Father through Him” and in Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me”.
Core Value 5: Sending out Disciples
We are called to hear and share the Word of God. As Christians it is our duty to become disciples and go
out and share the Gospel with each and every person in each and every nation and make more disciples
who will do the same. Some people may be discouraged by this because they may feel they have to
literally go door to door to do this, which isn’t the case. God has a calling for each and every person and
the way we spread His message can be as simple as talking to people at our work place, random people
we cross paths with, etc. No matter who we are God will find a way to use us and make us into disciples
so we can go out and make more disciples who will do the same. Just like in the 1st core value it tells us in
Matthew 28:19-20 to “Go and make disciples out of all nations”. Once more people know about and
accept Christ the world will start being a better place.
All of mankind is created equally in the image of God. Even though we are created as equals, each one of
us is unique, different, and special God created each of us with our own special traits, talents and gifts
some of which are meant to help us serve Him. He gave us many commandments that we are meant to
follow but there is one that is the most important, that Jesus tells us in Scripture, which is to love one
another. We are meant to and should accept and love one another no matter our social status, gender, age,
race, beliefs, culture, whatever difference one another has. We should love and accept everyone, and
never discriminate against others or think better of ourselves, because we are all created equally. Like
Jesus tells us in Mark 12:31 “Love your neighbor as yourself” and that we are all created equal in Psalms
19:1 “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by
their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of
Happiness.”
