Biblical Images of Salvation
Salvation is the deliverance from sin and its consequences, mainly focused on
Christianity that is being brought out in faith from Christ dying on the cross. It results in eternal
life in heaven. Upon that with salvation there is grace, God is so gracious to us to send his son
down so that we could spend eternity with Him after our time on earth. Romans 5:6-8 exactly
shows us God’s grace and salvation, “For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ
died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man, though perhaps for the good
man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His love toward us, in that while
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” This gift of salvation that is graciously given to us is
only able to obtain from God through Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21 supports that by saying, “For He
made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in
Him.” Throughout the course we have been reading the book, Everyday Theology, the authors
Etzel and Small present the significant parts of salvation which are calling, conversion,
