Introduction
The book of Mark is one of the synoptic gospels of Jesus Christ. In the book Mark
records the earthly life and ministry of Jesus. The book features the beginning and end of Jesus’s
life. The book also gives us the teaching of Christ. Jesus taught in many ways to illustrate His
Gospel message. One of the ways Jesus taught was through the use of parables. Parables allow
Jesus to explain himself and complex topics to the average person. One such parable told by Je-
sus is recored in Mark 4:26-29. It reads as follows:
