Part I:
A worldview is how you perceive life (Hindson 2016, 1). A worldview is the things that
make up your life. A person’s hopes, beliefs, dreams, and how you act. Their worldview is what
defines everything about them. Their beliefs/worldview determines how they react to the things
that happen in their life. As they grow, their worldview grows as well, but their roots remain the
same. This is also true in their Christian life as their studies into the Bible grow, they grow in
their faith and deepen their Christian worldview. A worldview is just their way of seeing the
world through their beliefs and actions.
Part II:
This is one of the most widely asked questions all throughout human history. Where did
the universe and humanity originate from? The origin of the universe comes from when God
created the heavens and the Earth (Genesis 1:1). God created the whole world and everything in
it, including all the land, seas, and animals. After all this, he created humanity. God created man
in his own image (Genesis 1:26-27). God created humanity as almost a mirror unto himself.
What does it mean to be human? To be human means we are imaged after God. We were
placed here to be unique and set apart. We were put here to worship him. We were made to take
care and rule over all other creation and to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28). Other things
he created; he gave us for food (Genesis 1:29). We are greater than anything else because we
reflect God unlike any other thing he created.
Humanity’s purpose first and foremost is to bring glory to God (Isaiah 43:7). We were put
here to show others God’s power, wisdom, kindness, and most importantly his love. Everything
we do in this life is supposed to glorify him. All our actions reflect on him. We are to fear and
serve him faithfully (1 Samuel 12:24). We are also here to look after his creation. Our love for
God allows us to understand what the purpose he has for us is.
What is meant by right and wrong? God gave us all a conscience. Right is doing
something that is line with morality and wrong is when what we do is not in line with it. Our
conscience bears witness to the law written on our heart (Romans 2:15). Morality is determined
by us, but God gives us those laws in his word. We are called to do justice, love kindness, and
walk humbly (Micah 6:8).
What happens when a person dies? It is completely up to the person. It depends on a
decision they made in their life at one point or another. When Jesus came and knocked on their
heart, did they accept him or reject him, because the only way to heaven is through Jesus. Jesus
said he is the way, truth, and life and no one can come to the father but by him (John 14:6).If you
accept Jesus truly as your Lord and Savior and your name was written down in the lamb’s book
of life, then you go to heaven, if you rejected Jesus and never accepted him, then you will go to
hell. What happens to someone after they die is completely up to the person. God gave his son so
that whoever believes in him will have eternal life (John 3:16).
Part 3
God said to love everyone equally and as he loves us (John 15:2). Just because someone
does not hold the beliefs I hold; does not mean I have to treat them any different. We are not
called to judge others outside of Christ, but to show them love and let them see God through us.
We cannot win anyone over to Christ if we hate first, because God is love, we must show love as
well.
My worldview should never be wavered even with my job. My job is not first, God is
first. My job, just like my life, should always honor God. Some may to participate in unethical
acts to want to help or even hurt the organization (Umhpress, Bingham, and Mitchell, 2010). As
a Christian, I am called to be ethical and to follow the law and I would refuse to participate in
something that may be unethical or even illegal.
