GOSPEL INTERVIEW TEMPLATE
Part One
The FAITH method is a flexible method that allows you to plan ahead and be prepared. This method includes a
script that is meant to help you stay on track and properly share the gospel. The script is what makes up the
letters of the acronym F.A.I.T.H. F stand for forgiveness in the sense that everyone needs it and God gives it
(Ephesians 1:7). A stand for available meaning that God’s forgiveness is for all willing to accept it (John
3:16). The I stands for impossible as in it is impossible for us to make it to heaven without the grace of God
(Ephesians 2:8-9). The T symbolizes turning from sin to seek God’s face (Luke 13:3). Finally, the H stands
for Heaven which is the place everyone has the chance to go to thanks to Jesus (John 14:3). The second
method is the roman’s road. This method consists of all scripture as it is designed to not be the word of man,
however it is the words of God. This helps expose them to the fundamental teaching material and core of
our faith. The roman’s road, like the name, takes them through the book of Romans. Using this book as the
main salvation tool because of its format and knowledge in the area. The most significant verses that are
used in this method include Romans 3:10-12, 23, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8, Romans 10:9-10, 13, and
Romans 5:1; 8:1, 38-39. Regardless of the method you use, the importance of sharing the gospel is what
matters most.

Part Two (I will be using their exact words when possible)
1. What has been your religious upbringing? Did your parents, or those who raised you, have religious
beliefs? If so, what did they believe and practice?
“My parents were very strict Catholics when I was younger, and they still are don’t get me wrong. They’ve only
just started to stop forcing it on to me and shaming me for not wanting to believe. They believe all the normal
Catholic things like mass, communion, Ash Wednesday, you know, the works. Growing up it always seemed so
well religious, cult like honestly. They acted as though they were forced and didn’t want to be there either. It
scared me as a kid, I honestly thought they were being held against their will to do this. It was a very unpleasant
experience.”
2. If you could ask God a question, what would you ask Him and Why?
“Why, why did I have to grow up so unhappy? Honestly, why didn’t my parents seem to love me? I would ask
that because when I would tell my parents I loved them, they would literally say “God loves you”. They used
that to replace having to show me positive attention because of my fear to believe.”
3. What has had the biggest impact on your current beliefs about God and Christianity?
“My parents, there is really nothing else to it. The religious trauma they inflicted upon me.”
4. What do believe regarding the Bible?
“Honestly since I’ve left that house and been around your family, I want to believe it so bad. I’m still just so
scared too. You seem so happy, especially when you come home from church. I always think that that could
never be me, you know?”
5. What do you believe about Jesus Christ?
“I believe he’s the guy who makes you happier than any boy ever could. Again, its something I want, but feel as
though it’s not for me to have.”

6. Has someone ever shared with you how you could go to heaven? Explain their response.
“Yes, of course silly. Your mom tells me almost every Sunday I come over for lunch. I like the fact that she is so
persistent because I know she believes it’s for my own good. I like thinking that she loves me that much.”
7. What has been the greatest barrier to you becoming a follower of Jesus Christ?
“Sweetie, again, my parents. You should have guessed by now silly.”
8. If heaven exists, and you could go there, would you like to know how you can go to heaven?
“I mean yeah from what I’ve heard it’s a place I would love to see. Just to know if it’s worth it. Of course, I’ve
already been told all about it.”
9. If not, Why?
(She said yes)
10. If they want to know how to go to heaven, share the gospel using one of the methods you shared in Part
One or a method in which you are comfortable (This is optional but encouraged).
11. What happened?
I didn’t completely speak with her about the whole thing again as she is told all the time by my mom. I asked if
she had any questions and she told me she had one. “Are you truly happy? Like not just on the outside?” I
told her I was, then she said she might like to go to church sometime.
