R.C. Sproul’s (2000) book shows many The Consequences of Ideas
different philosophers and their ideas throughout time. Sproul took these
philosophers and presented their ideas and life works and even showed
the effect it they have had on the world. He includes philosophers from
the very beginning to the current times such as Pythagoras to even
Darwin. With this, he includes a history of the philosophers even including
the year they were born. Sproul gives an insightful overview on the history
of philosophy and how it has changed the world.
When it comes to answering the question “what are the consequences of
ideas?” the answer isn’t so straight forward. The easy answer is that ideas
have an everlasting effect on mankind and the world we live in today.
Although, the answer in Sproul’s (2000) book seems more complicated
