INTRODUCTION
A. Background
Field is actually not only proposed by Kurt Lewin but there are Theory
several other figures who put forward this theory such as Tolman (1932),
Wheeler (1940), Lashley (1929) and Brunswik (1949). It's just that
compared to these other figures, Lewin is the one who has developed this
Medan Theory the most. Regarding this concept of field theory gained
influence from the physical and chemical sciences which were later adopted
into psychology to become Gestalt Psychology. Subsequently, the adoption
of field theory into the psychology of personality was carried out by Kurt
Lewin. If we recall the view of Gestalt Psychology which is: "a psychiatric
part or element does not stand alone but rather is organized into a whole
(Gestalt)" then we can understand why this Field Theory focuses on the
