Veteran Health Administration is one of the largest health care systems with facilities all over the
United States. VHA’s Mission Act was put in place to provide quality care that is safe and will
achieve the goal of the veteran having the best outcome possible. The goal is to increase
accessibility to health care within VA facilities and the community, expanding benefits for
caregivers and recruit and retain the best medical professionals possible. An essential component
of VHA health care system is financial management which will plan and organize financial goals
to be able to provide efficient care to the veterans. The VHA has created and implemented
requirements for conducting the finance quality assurance program and self-assessment reviews
that will evaluate the quality of finance operations and other financial programs. This health care
organization takes pride in their mission and values and their process of management of finance,
materials, and personnel.
