IMPORTANCE OF BUSINESS LAW
2021
Students who study paralegal studies are prepared for a profession as a paralegal or legal
assistant. Paralegals have academic degrees in the field of law, allowing them to do much of an
attorney's or lawyer's administrative duties. On the other hand, Business Law is the legislation that
regulates what happens in business concerns, and there are two types: commercial entity regulation
and commercial transaction regulation (Cronus Law, 2019). Hence, considering the importance of
paralegal studies in order to pursue Business Law must be taken into account. Such that, people
with business law careers can help public and private establishments to define basic set-up of a
business, regulations for business operations, to partake a means by which probable Disputes can
be resolved, to be protected from legal matters and to have business security, and etc. (Law Aspect,
2020).
It is important to hire an applicant who has a background or a graduate with business law
like me because we have the ability to define basic set-up of a business. Thus, Partnership,
proprietorship, corporation (private and public), and other types of businesses are defined by
business law. These forms of business definitions aid in determining who owns which business
entities. It can be guide for business owners as to what type of business they have and how many
workers do they need to hire for the company.
We also define regulations for business operations. In order to conduct various timely
activities in any business, regardless of the type of business, certain laws and regulations must be
followed. For industries, regulations may pertain to manufacturing; for service-oriented
organizations, regulations may pertain to providing services; and for import/export businesses,
regulations may pertain to specific procedures for conducting international trade of goods and
financial transactions.
In addition, we can provide a mechanism for resolving potential Disputes. Disputes
between stakeholders such as owners, employers, suppliers, separate entities, government, and
others may arise during company operations owing to differences in interests or other causes. As
a result, business law plays a critical role in the just arbitration of such conflicts. We maintain the
peace and order in the company which regards to legal options that benefits both parties. Such that,
competition in the business world arises more especially at the time that business competitors
abruptly exist.
Next, we can protect the intellectual property of the business entities. Unauthorized use of
a company entity's intellectual property is also prohibited under company laws. Patents, trade
secrets, symbols, copyrights, names, and other intellectual property are examples of such property.
Such qualities can sometimes be more valuable than the entity's tangible assets. Infringement of
such properties without permission could be extremely damaging to any firm. Nowadays, there is
a lot of competition among businesses for the security of such assets.
Moreover, our goal is to supply entities with accurate financial data. Business law also
establishes standards for supplying trustworthy financial data, such as financial statements for
businesses. All stakeholders in a company organization needs this information. For example, the
government may seek information for taxation, consumers may seek information about an
organization's stability for long-term services, shareholders may seek profit, and other businesses
may seek information about the security of their loans, supply, and obligations, among other
things.
Lastly, we ought to secure the rights of both employees and employers. Employment laws
secure the rights of the employees in a variety of areas, including salary, working conditions, and
safety. Such that, employees keep the company works so they deserve to have the guarantee that
their rights are protected with legal matters. Similarly, provisions protecting employers' rights are
required to safeguard them from illegal demands and claims from employees. Business Security,
on the other hand, is something we offer. We occasionally read and hear about business scandals
involving unethical and unlawful conduct, as well as the exploitation of regulatory loopholes.
Business law also provides protection for businesses from such conduct (Law Aspect, 2020).
With the aforementioned duties and responsibilities with regards to business law, it can be
inferred that my first step which is to take paralegal studies is crucial to the extent that it prepared
me for such challenging career. Above all, I can say that Business Law is essential most especially
in the economic aspect of the society because people with business law careers are the big brains
behind how industries and business world really work.
