Introduction
People in different societies face varying psycho-socio problems that require guidance
and counseling to overcome. Group therapies have become one of the most common and
effective ways of dealing with the psycho-socio difficulties that people face in various
communities (Saju, et al., 2019, p. 1). Group therapies work because they bring people with
similar problems together (Cooper, Hudson, Kranzberg, & Motherwell, 2017, p. 219). The
people having various psycho-social problems realize that other people are also facing similar
challenges, and work collaboratively to overcome them. The success of the therapy sessions
depends significantly on the arrangement, as well as coordination of the group meetings. The
group leader should unite the group members and coordinate all the meetings in a way that
supports contribution from all the members to achieve individual and group goals. The purpose
of this paper is to analyze the sessions of group meetings I attended to identify the success areas,
weaknesses, as well as areas that could have been handled differently to improve the
performance.
