Great post for this week’s discussion. I can appreciate your opinion that the Jeffersonian
model is the most useful for managing homeland security and disaster management. The
understanding of the public’s concerns is important and it does take help from civilians in
regards to homeland security efforts. However, I chose thee Hamilton’s model. Hamilton’s
contributions/ model stem from results that are driven. The performance is what drives this
model and they rely that to speak for itself on every level. These managers under this model are
viewed as ambitious and consider themselves to be unlike any other. Accountability is the center
of these managers and their readiness to perform any task (Sylves, 2015). In my opinion because
of their knowledge to utilize technology in a way that has grown over time helps them to benefit
from the advancement of technology, social media and various other ways to get information out
to the public. Thanks for your post this week.
