Introduction:
My witness second encounter came while I was waiting for wife to pick me up from an
appointment for my teaching certificate. While standing in the lobby a young lady, who I will
refer to as Sarah, asked me if I attended a Baptist church. I said yes, however, I was shocked and
wondered why she would ask me that question. I then realized that I was wearing my home
church’s sweatshirt. I asked if she went to church and she said yes, however, she said she was a
Muslim. Sarah went on to tell me that she was a first generation Pakistani American, I guess I
have a way of meeting first generation Americans. She went on to tell me that she started to go to
church while she was in prison, and they did not have Islamic services for women in prison due
to the rituals of her faith. She then stated that she was dating a young man who is Baptist and
was looking for a new church because they attend a non-denominational church, and he does not
feel comfortable.
Conversation:
Therefore, I told her what church I attended and gave her the information for our services.
However, I asked her how she felt about being a Muslim but attend a Christian church and if she
believed in Jesus. She stated that as a Muslim she believes that Jesus was a prophet but not God
or the Son of God. I then asked her what Mohammed said about prophets to which she stated that
they speak what God tells them to speak. I then asked if that is true then that means that prophets
can only speak the truth. Sarah agreed and I stated then Jesus saying, “The Father and I are
One.”1, means Jesus is the Son of God and God. I then asked what did Mohammed say about
prophets proving themselves as prophets through signs and miracles. She said she did not know
what he said, therefore, I explained to her that Mohammed said you will know prophets because
of the miracles they perform. At which point I asked her if Mohammed was a true prophet why

did he refuse to perform miracles and signs. Sarah eyes got big as if she was getting confirmation
that she was able to accept Christ. However, she did say she was going to ask her mother about
the statement I said about Mohammed.
Conclusion:
Sarah in our conversation stated that when she started to go to a Christian church, she felt
something that told her she was in the right space. She went on to tell me that she thinks it would
be hard for her to convert to Christianity while her parents were still alive. I asked to attend
church on Sunday, that would be February 25, I would be preaching. Sarah said she would come
and because I had to rush out I missed the opportunity to pray with her, however, I will do my
best to keep in touch with her.
