Sharing the Gospel Paper
Part I – Preparing to Share the Gospel:
Section A – Consider the person and the context: The person I want to share the Gospel
with is Sandra. I have seen Sandra a lot over the past few years at the beauty salon that I go to.
Her religious background is Southern Baptist. Her Southern culture values hospitality, strong
family ties, and a sense of community. Her church plays a central role in her life, it provides a
sense of belonging and support. Her worldview is influenced by her Southern Baptist beliefs. We
have not had any conversations about God in the past.
To initiate a spiritual conversation, I plan to meet Sandra at a quiet café where we can
talk comfortably without distractions in the coming week. I will contact her on the phone to set
up the meeting and explain that I would like to share something important and meaningful with
her. I will also request her to pray for our meeting and for guidance in our conversation. For this
specific situation, I have chosen to share my personal testimony. I believe that sharing my
journey of faith, the challenges I faced, and how God transformed my life will resonate with
Sandra and make the message relatable to her. Additionally, I will use John 3:16 as a key verse,
as it succinctly captures the essence of the Gospel and God's love for humanity.
Section B – Plan for a conversation: The plan is to meet Sandra in person at the café.
There won't be any service involved. I will start the spiritual conversation by asking
