Ethical Rogerian Argument Thesis/Outline Assignment: How far should humans go to protect
the environment?
I. Introduction
A. Any activity that maintains or restores the environment is considered environmental
protection.
B. A safe, healthy, and ecologically balanced environment is everyone's right, but it
needs to be cared for.
C. It is controversial whether affluence is associated with environmental concerns.
D. It is important that people take many steps to protect the environment.
II. No limits on protecting the Environment
A. “When thinking of how far humans would go to protect to the environment it is
important to realize that the environment can affect human health, and environmental
hazards increase the risk of diseases with adverse consequences for the entire world”
(Riva 2019).
B. To make a real difference, humans must make income sacrifices, adopt cognitive
mechanisms to help people realize what is happening to the world, and buy and use
eco-friendly products.
C. A person's health is not the only benefit of protecting the environment, it has a
significant impact on their lives as well.
