PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY PAPER 2
Introduction
Technology is crucial in determining learning experiences and getting students ready for
a day when digital literacy will be critical in the fast changing terrain of education. Teachers
have a responsibility to include technology into our lessons not only to improve participation but
also to provide pupils the tools they need to flourish in a digitally evolved world. Supported by
both professional and biblical viewpoints, this presentation presents my own thought about the
use of technology in education.
Technology’s Purpose in Education
Technology has evolved into a necessary component of the learning process since it gives
instruments to improve knowledge and create fresh chances for involvement and skill
development. Including technology into the classroom serves several different purposes. First of
all, technology makes individualized learning possible, thereby enabling teachers to customize
their training to fit particular student needs. Chen (2019) claims that technology solutions such
adaptive learning platforms and instructional applications allow varied instruction, therefore
accommodating diverse learning styles and speeds.
Technology also increases information and resource access, therefore turning the
conventional classroom into a dynamic learning environment. Interactive whiteboards, online
databases, and multimedia resources—digital tools—support several teaching approaches and
help to make learning more engaging. As Prensky (2018) emphasizes, technology not only
supports conventional teaching and learning but also brings fresh ideas for instruction and
learning, which are absolutely vital for arming children for the digital age.
Biblical Defense for Incorporating Technology
PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY PAPER 3
Incorporating technology into education can be supported by several biblical principles
that emphasize the pursuit of knowledge and the use of resources to benefit others: Proverbs 1:5
(NIV): "Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance." This
verse underscores the importance of continuous learning and seeking guidance, which can be
facilitated through modern technological tools that provide access to a wealth of knowledge
(Biblica, 2011). James 1:5 (NIV): "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives
generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." The availability of
technology can be seen as a means of seeking and acquiring wisdom, as it provides educators
and students with resources to deepen their understanding and address their educational needs
effectively (Biblica, 2011). Proverbs 2:6 (NIV): "For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth
come knowledge and understanding." Technology, when used appropriately, can be a tool for
gaining knowledge and enhancing understanding, aligning with the biblical encouragement to
seek wisdom and knowledge (Biblica, 2011).
Application of My Philosophy
My view of technology in the classroom shapes my approach to instruction and how I
combine technical tools. Using educational technology first helps me to provide my pupils
interesting and interactive learning environments. For cooperative projects, interactive
simulations to reinforce ideas, and instructional apps to offer extra practice and support, I employ
digital platforms, for example.
In line with my biblical and professional obligations, I want to keep current with
technology developments and always look for chances for professional growth to improve my
technological competency. This dedication guarantees that I am employing technology to
enhance student development and learning with efficiency.
PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY PAPER 4
Conclusion
All things considered, my own view of technology in the classroom stresses the need of
using digital tools to improve learning and equip students for a technologically developed
environment. Supported by biblical ideas and professional research, this perspective directs my
aspirations for professional growth and classroom instruction. Embracing technology and
making good use of it helps us to fulfill our obligation to equip students with the tools and
knowledge required for success in the digital era.
