Part Two: Reflection
1. What did you like about locating technology resources?
[Locating technology resources allowed me to see the various educational resources
available. I have never particularly done an assignment such as this, especially for
science. So, it was fun to learn about the topics available for me to share in my future
classroom!]
2. If you had to complete this same activity again, what would you change?
[If I were to do the activity again, I would not change anything. I provided valuable
information and good educational websites for students. For future practicums or
internships, I would use these materials for lesson planning and teaching.]
3. What did you learn about yourself during this assignment?
[I learned I love virtual field trips! I never thought about science field trips much
before this assignment, but now I know there are so many available! I would love to
use these in teaching and even for personal use.]
4. When would you use this resource in your future classroom?
[I would use these resources all throughout the year. If it were a rainy day, a virtual
field trip would be a perfect lesson! Even the YouTube videos are wonderful for laid
back days and short educational sessions.]
5. If you were the professor of this course, what changes would you make to this
assignment?
[I would lower the number of resources needed to be found. Specifically, I would
lower the amount to two each but also require each grade level to be covered. This
allows for the student to review all ages of standards of learning and not only the
required three.]
