Introduction
Many biblical themes can be seen throughout this course. Biblical applications are
relevant in all aspects of one's life, including the workplace. As Christians, it is crucial to
maintain a Christian perspective as we go about our daily lives- not just when attending church
or doing church activities. This paper will draw connections between biblical principles and
staffing principles to provide a clear picture of the relationships that can be made between the
two.
Targeted Recruitment
Targeted recruitment is a form of recruitment advertising that narrows advertising efforts
to a specific audience; this allows the recruitment efforts to target individuals that best fit the
criteria and the unique needs of the open position (Judge & Kammeyer-Mueller, 2022). While
many believe that targeted recruitment is a fair practice, it can also raise concerns for some job
seekers regarding inclusion and equality if done incorrectly. Inclusion and equality are not only
staffing principles but are also biblical principles.
The apostle Peter reminds us in Acts 10:30 that "God shows no partiality" (King James
Bible, 1769/2017, Acts 10:30). God does not show any prejudice or favoritism. We are all his
children, and he loves us all equally. He loved each of us so much that he sent his Son to die on
the cross for our sins. God did this for all that may believe, not for a particular nation or a certain
race, but for all people. That shows just how important every one of us is to God. God made the
ultimate sacrifice and provided us with an incredible example of unconditional love. This is the
unconditional love that we should extend to our fellow man, regardless of our differences.

Diversity is celebrated as we see in Revelations 7:9-10, "After this I looked, and behold,
a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and
languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm
branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, Salvation belongs to our God who sits
on the throne, and to the Lamb" (King James Bible. 1769/2017, Revelations 7:9-10). This verse
is a beautiful representation of all people coming together to praise God, no matter their
background or nationality. This same scene must be represented here on earth as well. The Lord
created us all in his image and we as Christians should all strive to see the beauty in our
differences and the things that make each of us unique.
Assessment Centers
Assessment centers are used in internal selection for higher-level jobs (Judge &
Kammeyer-Mueller, 2022). It comprises the collection of behavioral indicators, such as
performance tests, work samples, and role-plays (Judge & Kammeyer-Mueller, 2022). Choosing
to hire a higher-level employee is a task that should not be made lightly. This is a big decision for
an organization and should be an informed one.
Making informed and wise decisions can also be seen biblically. Proverbs 1:5 states, "Let
the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance" (King
James Bible, 1769/2017, Proverbs 1:5). Just as it is necessary to obtain guidance to make
informed decisions in the workplace, it is also essential in our Christian lives. We have our
fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to lean on for help and direction. Of course, we also have the
Bible as our book to go to for instructions on making decisions that are pleasing to God.

Conclusion
Making connections between biblical principles and integrating biblical lessons in our
daily lives is a way to strengthen our walk with Christ and show Christ to others in our lives.
There is always a way to make a biblical lesson relevant. God's lessons transcend time and are
applicable today and forever.
