Introduction
The Christian life rests upon total commitment and trust in God through Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 4:19-22 states that the followers of Christ are established and built upon Him as the
"chief cornerstone ."In 2 Corinthians, Christians are instructed to bring their thoughts captive to
Christ and to be ready to be obedient to Him. This understanding of submission to the authority
of Christ and service to God culminates and is followed in the Great Commission found in
Matthew 28:16-20. With this charge from Christ comes the question from the disciple, "How am
I to make other disciples?". As a modern believer, so much of the work of how to effectively aid
other believers in their spiritual growth has been accomplished already. The following plan will
simply build on what materials others have developed and improve specific areas of discipleship
for specified groups of individuals. This plan will be built on the 5 P's of ministry planning. They
are as follows: Passages, Principles, Philosophy, Practices, and Proof.
Passages
The foundation for any plan or program for building spiritual effectiveness inside the

must begin with the Bible as its anchor and core. While not expressly stated by many pastors and
academics, this concept is alluded to and utilized in practice throughout programs and study
