Christian Worldview Integration
The major points that underlie the author’s conclusion that modernism provides
limitations in both business management information systems and academia in addressing
moral issues and religion
The article modernism, Christianity and business ethics by Kim et al. (2009) tries to
explain the worldview perspectives of business ethical issues. The author discussed the moral
issues included in corporate social responsibility and business ethics in management programs.
The authors look at the idea of considering the Christian worldview as differently from the only
dominant model useful, ethical view in the realm of business (Kim et al., 2009). The limitations
of integrating religion with the corporate practice as many business management leaders base
their decisions on their religious judgments. By examining on worldviews of modernism,
postmodernism and Christianity stated that individual conclusions about how reality would work
and how much people live.
Modernism's view of reality, knowledge, and morals is associated with science, how
humans reason, and objective evidence (Kim et al., 2009). In postmodern worldview reality,
knowledge and morals are self-explained. The authors stretched on the ethical limitations of
modernism that may lead to problems. Modernism is based on the belief that nothing exists that
doesn't consider more in the world than we can use our senses to access. In modernism, business
ethics is regarded as that may not collude with the functioning of society. About this view, the
result is always centred that would instead prefer n decreasing the number of employees and
maximizing the output thus making large profits. From a religious perspective, it is different in
consideration of practising good business ethics. According to Kim et al. (2009), it is believed is
through God, the purpose of work is achieved through man and possession.

How the introduction of the Christian worldview as an alternative approach provides a
better approach for examining ethical issues in business management information systems
The author's view on Christianity worldview is based on the scripture that gives moral
standards that offers room for discernment between the right and the wrong. In business
management, one has to know what they ought to do based on the principle that is right or not.
The scripture is neither set on regulations nor rules but rather the broad understanding of the
reality of life originates from God and nature, and that man originates from God (Kim et al.,
2009). People with Christian knowledge respect the value of life and will always is cautious in
the workplace concerning the products that may cause harm to humans. They will always respect
the environment avoid pollution. Individuals who believe the wellbeing of others will not be
associated with employment practices that do not favour the employees, causing hardships to
them in old ages.
Christian worldview allows us to reevaluate our assumptions about religious beliefs and
the nature of reality. Christians would suggest that Christianity is more than the rigid religious,
moral rules applicable in history, politics, and science when carrying out research. Kim et al.
(2009) explains that ethics in business relationships is how organizations handle situations that
need ethical decisions, especially when dispensing duties to their workers. The leaders are
supposed to protect their workers, the organization's employees, customers, and the surrounding
society, from the hazards that may arise from its operations. Organizations operate on the
principle they will face consequences of failure to observe ethics.
Experiences as they relate to the authors’ main points
Business ethics requires the business to ensure the wellbeing of the people and the
environment in its operations. Organizations will respect the environment by controlling

pollution that it emits to the surroundings. Corporations that have such practices will rarely
expose their employees to dangerous emissions that may lead to deaths (Kim et al., 2009).
Corporations will always research to improve their services to the people in society and help
them make the desired profits by the organization. The moral obligation that an Organization
should not carry research on that will not favour the wellbeing of its persons who relate to it.
