For this discussion board post, I picked to talk about Solution-focused therapy and Narrative
Therapy. Solution-Focused therapy is social constructive and focuses on change, and not
questions on why the family has developed a problem (Goldenberg, Stanton, & Goldenberg,
2017, p.351). The idea behind is this therapy is to dig deep and focus on finding the solution to
the problem instead of the individual thinking alone. It cuts straight to the matter the client is
experiencing and then creating new solutions for them.
Whereas Narrative Therapy is a type of poststructuralism and deconstruction. Goldenberg et al
